Description
This rug is an early 20th century Karabagh. It measures 4 ft 8 inches x 6 ft 7 inches. This rug came from a local Maine estate and has spent most of its life on the wall or rolled up in storage. There are several minute areas of re-weaving in the red field. There is a 2” x 3 ½” corner that is fraying. The top has old tape loops sewn for rod hanging. There is a one inch slit on the top edge in the outer border. The bottom edge has uneven wear. Overall it is a beautiful deep tomato red carpet that is seldom seen.
