Description
The chairs are an usually nice pair of Philadelphia side chairs with no repairs, retaining all of their original glue blocks. The chairs are of the Chippendale Period and date to 1770. They have the Gothic splat, cabriole leg terminating in a Drake foot and aserpentine cut-out skirt. The seat frames are made of yellow pine and numbered to the chairs. These are number II and IV from a set. The chairs measures 39 inches high, 23 inches wide and 17.5 inches at the seat.
