Description
This decoy rests on a stand with a label on the bottom “Studio Antiques & Decoys Dewey Bech.Del. It is described as a New Jersey Yellow Leg by William S. King, 325.00.”
The decoy measures 9 ¾ inches by two inches thick. It has nice carved wings and split tail. There are some areas where the original paint is flaking. The bird has been shot over. Old replaced bill and support rod. Circa 1890 – 1910. This shorebird has a wonderful overall appearance and old patina. From a New England home.
