Description
This is a unique lantern of a light house form. The heavy blown tapering globe is banded at both ends with an applied glass band. This style lantern has the twist and lock style base rather than the pinched globe. The font is conical shaped with a single whale oil burner, instead of a double. It is in excellent condition with an overall grey tin finish with some scattered areas of surface rust. It measures 12 ½ inches to the top of the carrying ring, 10 ¾ inches with the ring down, and 4 inches at the base.
