Description
This mirror dates 1790-1810 period. The perimeter frame is made of mahogany veneer with contrasing satinwood string inlay. The surmounts are solid mahogany. The mirror has white pine secondary wood. The mirror has been repaired at the joints with a linen patch and numerous glue blocks have been replaced. There is a crack in the lower part of the crest and the lower right fish tail has been restored. The backboard shows signs of re-staining. The mirror has a nice old faded patina color. It measures 29 inches x 15 ½ inches.
