Description
Rare 17th or early 18th century Tazza or Salver made of pewter.This well constructed salver is 10 inches in diameter and is engraved with a coat of arms and crest within a rococo cartouche.The rim is raised and is decorated with gadrooning.The tazza is approx.2 inches tall with a 4 inch gadroon base..There is no sign of any touch mark . There is sign of an old solder repair where the base is attached.Overall condition is excellent with a few minor dents.A tazza close to this one sold at Christie's from the "Little"collection in 2007 for approx. $3000.00 u s.
