Description
This is a rare and hard to find lantern. It is totally constructed of brass and has an
arm carrying ring. It is copper wheel cut decoration of vine and leaf centered with the name “O.S. Shaler”. The burner is a brass kerosene burner and probably a later replacement during the period of use. It measures 17 inches high overall including the ring and 7 inches cage diameter.
